Laws of Hope
Laws of Hope is a support law with two modes: passively it heals you and your allies steadily, while activated it also wraps you in a shield that absorbs a large chunk of damage. Since only one law can be active at a time, it competes with the other law skills for your slot. Its focus is clearly on preserving life.
For defensive setups Eternal Hope is strong, because the increased maximum life enlarges your effective health pool and the potency of percentage heals. If speed is your goal instead, Wings of Angels fits superbly: the extra movement speed and unhindered movement through enemies make it a favorite in speed builds. So the law can be tuned as a lifesaver or a mobility tool depending on your playstyle.
Runes for every damage type
Laws of Hope unlocks at level 24, and every rune applies when you empower the Law: Wings of Angels (level 31) grants 50% movement speed and lets everyone pass through enemies, Eternal Hope (level 34) adds 10% maximum Life, Hopeful Cry (level 40) cuts Physical damage taken by 25%, Faith's Reward (level 48) heals 1073 Life per point of Wrath spent, and Promise of Faith (level 58) cuts non-Physical damage by 25%. Those two mitigation runes complement each other, and the right one depends on which damage type threatens you. In practice Wings of Angels is played almost exclusively.
Passive healing, active shield
The passive half heals you and your allies for 10,728 Life per second at all times, with no input needed. The active half, a 5 second shield absorbing up to 124,128 damage, is worth timing every 30 seconds right before a clash or when crossing a pack. Because only one Law can be active, choosing this one means choosing healing over the alternatives.
Long Arm of the Law and Steed Charge
Long Arm of the Law extends the active effect of all Laws by 5 seconds, so the Wings of Angels speed boost lasts longer. Steed Charge also lets you ride through enemies and fits the same speed-first approach. Akarat's Champion, Iron Skin, Finery and Heavenly Strength are other frequent partners.
