Effect

While below 35% Life, all skills cost 50% less Fury, Life per Fury Spent is doubled, and all damage taken is reduced by 50%.

Relentless

Relentless is a defensive passive that only kicks in once your health drops into the danger zone. Once you fall below 35% of your life, your fury costs are halved, your healing per spent fury is doubled and incoming damage is sharply reduced. In practice, the passive turns the most dangerous moment of a fight into a breather.

The appeal lies in the interplay with life-on-hit effects and fury-heavy builds: precisely when you are most vulnerable, your skills become cheaper to fire and pull more life back at the same time. Relentless earns a slot above all where you regularly fight in the red or deliberately play on the edge. In setups with high damage reduction and steady healing it often goes unused, since you rarely hit the threshold at all.

Three effects under one threshold

As soon as your Life drops below 35%, three effects kick in at once:

  • All skills cost 50% less Fury.
  • Your Life per Fury Spent is doubled.
  • All damage taken is reduced by 50%.

Unlike passives with a one-time trigger, Relentless has no cooldown: the protection is active every time you slip below the threshold and ends once you are back above it. Relentless joins your options at level 40.

Life per Fury Spent as a prerequisite

The doubling only matters if you have any Life per Fury Spent at all – without that stat the second effect does nothing. The cheaper Fury costs help you keep attacking even though you are under pressure. Together they are meant to pull you back out of the red zone.

Working with Ignore Pain

Among the partners is Ignore Pain, which also reduces damage taken for a few seconds. The two defences work at different points: the passive kicks in during an emergency without a button press, while Ignore Pain is pressed deliberately before a dangerous phase. Alongside them you find Weapon Throw as a Fury source, Ancient Spear as a spender, as well as Battle Rage, Furious Charge and Wrath of the Berserker.
