Rampage

Rampage

Passive Skill · Barbarian

  • From level 68

Effect

Increase Strength by 1% for 8 seconds after killing or assisting in killing an enemy. This effect stacks up to 25 times.

Rampage

Rampage rewards aggressive, fast killing: every enemy you slay briefly raises your Strength, and the effect stacks many times over. If you keep the kill flow going, you build a strong, sustained damage bonus that scales with your primary attribute.

The passive shows its strength mainly in content with dense enemy spawns, where you rack up kills constantly and keep the stacks high. If the supply of targets dries up, the stacks fall and the bonus with them. Rampage therefore pays off most in fast, clear-heavy playstyles, while it shows less in drawn-out single-target fights without steady kills.

What the stacks actually give you

Each kill grants 1% more Strength for 8 seconds, up to 25 times. Fully stacked, you carry 25% extra Strength, and since Strength is the Barbarian's main attribute, that feeds straight into your damage. Note that kills you merely assisted with count as well, so in a group you keep collecting stacks even when a teammate lands the final blow.

The passive only unlocks at level 68. It barely matters while leveling and earns its slot in the endgame, once your setup clears packs quickly.

Rampage next to Wrath of the Berserker and Ruthless

  • Wrath of the Berserker and Call of the Ancients provide strong but long cooldown windows. Boon of Bul-Kathos cuts both down considerably, which is why it often takes the second passive slot next to Rampage.
  • Battle Rage is a long-running damage buff that adds to the Strength stacks rather than competing with them.
  • Furious Charge carries you through whole packs and generates Fury on the way, ideal for diving into a group and fanning the stacks there.
  • Ruthless increases damage against weakened enemies. They drop faster, and every quicker kill feeds Rampage in turn.

Together this makes for a playstyle where short travel between packs matters more than peak single-target output.
