Ignore Pain

Ignore Pain is a defensive panic button: on demand you halve all incoming damage for several seconds and become immune to every loss-of-control effect. That makes it ideal for surviving dangerous moments or breaking out of a hopeless spot.

If you want a bigger buffer, Iron Hide simply extends the duration. If your build leans on self-healing, Ignorance is Bliss is strong because you regain life per Fury spent during the skill, weaving defense and Fury economy together. So Ignore Pain can serve as a pure damage shield or an active healing window, depending on what your playstyle needs.

Bravado, Contempt for Weakness and Mob Rule

In practice, Ignore Pain is usually run with Bravado (level 26). While it is active you gain 40% movement speed and knock enemies aside as you run – turning the damage reduction into a way to break through a pack. The other runes:

  • Mob Rule (level 43): allies within 50 yards also get 25% damage reduction and immunity to control-impairing effects for 5 seconds – the group version.
  • Contempt for Weakness (level 58): activating the skill instantly heals 35% of your maximum Life, ideal when you only press the button at the last moment.

Iron Hide extends the duration to 7 seconds and unlocks at level 31, Ignorance is Bliss at level 36.

Pride of Cassius

The mighty belt Pride of Cassius extends the effect by 4–6 seconds. With a 6-second roll the skill lasts more than twice its 5-second base duration, a far larger share of its 30-second cooldown. A high roll is felt immediately here.

Partners in the Barbarian toolkit

Ignore Pain often appears with Wrath of the Berserker – two cooldowns you can stack for dangerous moments. Furious Charge and Sprint add mobility, which together with Bravado makes for very fast movement. Among passives, Rampage, Boon of Bul-Kathos and Pound of Flesh frequently sit alongside.
