This Crusader set makes Thorns damage your primary weapon and channels it through Punish and Slash. Instead of waiting for enemies to attack you, you actively fling your Thorns damage at all nearby foes. Each hit with your two core skills, or a blocked attack, raises your dealt Thorns damage in stacks, and both attacks also strike much faster while transferring a large share of your Thorns damage onto the targets. Bombardment conveniently provides a reliable defensive window.

In practice you itemize deliberately for high Thorns damage and keep Punish or Slash running nonstop to maintain the stacks. Stay in the thick of the fight, block and strike — the denser the enemies stand, the more your area Thorns damage pays off.
