Sage's Journey

This set pursues no offensive or defensive goal but is dedicated entirely to farming Death's Breath — the key resource for rerolling legendary properties and enchanting. Even the small bonus delivers a broad boost to your core stats, but the real reason to wear it is the doubled amount of dropped Death's Breath. Since this effect emanates, it also works when your follower wears the set.

In practice you don this set for targeted farm runs, such as lower Greater Rifts where you mow down many enemies quickly. It isn't a combat set for the highest tiers but a tool for gathering materials. Equip it deliberately during collection phases and switch back to your damage set for serious pushing.

The bonuses at a glance

Two pieces grant +250 each to Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Vitality. At three pieces, the amount of Death's Breath that drops is doubled, and this effect emanates. Since the top bonus sits at three pieces while the set has four, one slot stays free for another item – and if your follower wears the pieces, your own slots stay free anyway.

The set consists of Sage's Apogee (helm), Sage's Passage (boots), Sage's Purchase (gloves) and Sage's Ribbon (belt). A duplicate piece can be converted into another Journey piece in Kanai's Cube.

Not every "Sage's Journey" belongs here

The smaller sibling set Sage's Plight has boots that are, of all things, called Sage's Journey. Those boots do not count toward this set – Journey's own boots are Sage's Passage. If you only go by the name while collecting, you may end up holding a piece that does not trigger the Death's Breath bonus. The set name in the tooltip is what counts.
