Captain Crimson's Trimmings

Captain Crimson's Trimmings

Captain Crimson's Trimmings is a three-piece universal set that revolves around cooldown and resource cost reduction. The very first bonus regenerates Life, lowers all cooldowns and makes every skill cheaper. The third bonus cleverly turns the tables: your damage dealt increases by the same amount as your cooldown reduction, and your damage taken decreases by the amount of your resource cost reduction.

This means the set rewards deliberately stacking these two stats and fits any class whose build relies on frequently cast skills. It delivers both offense and defense in one go and can be slotted in across classes. Practical tip: Consistently roll and enchant your gear for cooldown and resource cost reduction, as both stats directly scale your damage and your toughness here. The higher the percentages, the stronger and sturdier your character becomes.

How the two tiers interlock

The 2-piece bonus provides 6000 Life per second plus 20.0% each of cooldown and resource cost reduction. Those values feed straight into your totals – and those totals are exactly what the 3-piece bonus turns into damage and damage reduction. The third piece therefore converts the percentages the set itself provides into extra offense and defense. Since the Mystic can re-enchant one property per item, it pays to reroll suitable pieces toward these two stats.

Belt, pants, boots – and a similar sibling

The three pieces are Captain Crimson's Silk Girdle (belt), Captain Crimson's Thrust (pants) and Captain Crimson's Waders (boots). Careful: Captain Crimson's Finery, the weaker sibling set, uses the same three slots with Captain Crimson's Satin Sash, Captain Crimson's Bowsprit and Captain Crimson's Whalers. Those pieces do not count toward the Trimmings – only items labeled Captain Crimson's Trimmings in the tooltip do.
