Cain's Destiny – fast leveling, more loot

Cain's Destiny is a classic comfort and leveling set that speeds up your progress rather than maximizing damage. Two pieces grant more attack speed and a hefty experience bonus, while the three-piece effect gives picked-up Greater Rift Keystones a chance to drop an extra one – ideal when you want to stockpile rift openings.

Because the set belongs to no class, it's the go-to tool for quickly leveling new or seasonal characters. Practical tip: the keystone bonus emanates, so it also works when your follower wears the pieces, keeping your own slots free. Once you hit max level and pivot to damage, Cain's Destiny gives way to a full-fledged class set.

Two bonuses with different timing

The 2-piece bonus grants 8.0% attack speed and 50% more experience, but only 5.0% at level 70. The 3-piece bonus works the other way around: the 25% chance for an extra Greater Rift Keystone only helps once you are running Greater Rifts. While leveling, the first tier matters most; afterwards, the second one does.

The set has four pieces – Cain's Habit (pants), Cain's Insight (helm), Cain's Scrivener (gloves) and Cain's Travelers (boots) – and three are enough for the top bonus. The fourth slot is free for any item you like, and Kanai's Cube can reshape a duplicate into another Cain's Destiny piece.

Similar names, different set

Cain's Fate fills the same four slots with Cain's Memory, Cain's Robes, Cain's Sandals and gloves called Cain's Scribe – easy to confuse with Cain's Scrivener. Pieces from Cain's Fate do not count toward Cain's Destiny, so check the set name in the tooltip before you plan a pair of gloves or boots for this set.
