Bul-Kathos's Oath – fuel for the Whirlwind
This two-piece set of mighty weapons is tightly tailored to the Barbarian and his Whirlwind playstyle. While you're spinning, attack and movement speed climb sharply, and you also generate more Fury – exactly the resource that a constantly running Whirlwind devours. That solves this build's classic problem: keeping momentum without your Fury running dry.
It's meant for mobile, spinning Barbarians who want to grind smoothly through packs of enemies. Practical tip: Bul-Kathos's Oath is a natural partner for Whirlwind setups and, since it fills two weapon slots, pairs nicely with a defensive or offensive three-piece set. Just make sure your core rotation actually revolves around Whirlwind – otherwise the entire benefit fizzles out.
The bonus in numbers
The 2-piece bonus increases your Fury generation by 15 and raises attack speed and movement speed by 45% while you use Whirlwind. Whirlwind costs 10 Fury, hits everything in your path for 340% weapon damage and lets you move at 100% of your normal movement speed – so the set makes you noticeably faster again while spinning. Outside of Whirlwind, only the Fury part of the bonus remains.
Which rune suits the Oath
Wind Shear grants 1 Fury per enemy hit and converts the damage to Lightning – a second Fury source next to the set. Hurricane drags enemies in from up to 35 yards, Dust Devils spawns tornadoes dealing 180% weapon damage, and Volcanic Eruption raises the damage to 400% as Fire. Blood Funnel heals you for 1% of your maximum Life on critical hits.
Both weapon hands
The set consists of the mighty weapons Bul-Kathos's Solemn Vow and Bul-Kathos's Warrior Blood, wielded together in both hands. If you find one of them twice, Kanai's Cube can turn the spare into another piece of the set – with two pieces, that means the missing weapon.
