Season 37 'The Forbidden Archives' started on December 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM CET and revolved around the most powerful tool the Nephalem have: Kanai's Cube.
The season theme
At its centre stood the Horadrim Zoltun Kull, who unleashed the cube's power like no one before him, draining and archiving the energies of powerful items. Mechanically that translated into a surprisingly far-reaching change:
For the duration of Season 37, the three cube slots were not restricted to their usual categories. Instead of one weapon, one armor and one jewelry power, anything could be combined — two weapon powers plus an armor power, say, or three amulet properties at once.
Cosmetic rewards
Rewards from Season 13 and Season 25 returned, along with the helm and shoulder slots of the exclusive Conqueror set and portraits themed around Imperius. Blaine's Bear came back as a pet.
Anyone completing the full Season Journey (Guardian) received two sought-after returnees from Season 25: the portrait 'The Tristram Frame' and the pet 'The Little Dark Lord'.
Context
Season 37 ended in March 2026 and was succeeded by Season 38 'Ethereal Memory'. The current season is Season 39 'Shades of the Nephalem'.
