Slipka's Letter Opener
With Slipka's Letter Opener you halve the cooldowns of all your follower's skills - here, the Scoundrel's. It sounds minor, but for solo builds it's hugely valuable, because many of the best follower effects sit precisely in those long-cooldown skills. Cut the cooldown and those effects fire far more often.
In practice this letter opener almost always pairs with the immortal follower token, so your Scoundrel stays at your side permanently and casts his strong skills nearly nonstop. Tip: choose Scoundrel skills with useful buffs or control effects and long cooldowns, since that's exactly where the halved recharge does the most for your damage and survival.
A token only the Scoundrel carries
As a Scoundrel token, the Letter Opener fits only this follower's special slot; it is not meant for your own hero. The 50% reduction is fixed in the tooltip and never varies. The only thing that differs between two Letter Openers is the fixed +626–750 Dexterity - a primal ancient drop maxes that value but changes nothing about the power.
How the halving feels in a fight
With cooldowns cut in half, the Scoundrel's role shifts: occasional one-off actions become a steady rhythm you can plan around. The longer a skill originally takes to come back, the more seconds the Letter Opener saves you. That is why it pays to deliberately pick the Scoundrel effects that would otherwise be available too rarely.
