These gloves are the heart of a Necromancer build around Corpse Explosion: when an exploded corpse hits at least one enemy, your Corpse Explosion damage rises for several seconds and stacks multiple times. That means sustained detonating builds an ever-climbing damage spiral that only peaks after several explosions in a row.

This is exactly why the build shines in dense packs and chokepoints where corpses are plentiful. Practical tip: keep the stack running without interruption by detonating corpses in rapid succession, because if the effect lapses you start back at zero and lose precious seconds ramping your damage up again.
