Seismic Slam
Seismic Slam is a fury spender that unleashes a broad shockwave in front of you, hitting every enemy in a long cone. The skill rewards lining foes up ahead of you and delivers reliable output across the frontline. With enough fury income it can be spammed almost continuously.
To keep the fury thirst in check, Stagger lowers the cost and converts the damage to lightning – the pick for sustainable builds. If you lean into fire and crowd control, Shattered Ground launches struck enemies into the air while also raising the damage. For builds with surplus fury, Rumble is interesting, since it spends all your remaining fury to create a lingering earthquake that keeps damaging enemies in the area.
Rumble, Permafrost and the other runes
You learn it at level 12: 30 Fury for 620% weapon damage up to 50 yards ahead. Stagger (level 18) lowers the cost to 22 Fury, and Shattered Ground (level 25) deals 735% as Fire. Rumble (level 35) spends your remaining Fury for 15% weapon damage per point over 2 seconds. Strength from Earth (level 48) heals 1% of maximum Life per enemy hit, and Permafrost (level 57) deals 755% as Cold and Chills for 1 second. Rumble leads in practice, followed by Permafrost.
Items and Might of the Earth
- Fury of the Vanished Peak (two-hander): half the cost and 400–500% more damage.
- Bracers of Destruction: 400–500% more damage to the first 10 enemies hit.
- Fjord Cutter: attacks 50% faster and deals 100–150% more damage to Slowed or Chilled enemies, a condition Permafrost fulfills by itself.
- Girdle of Giants: afterwards raises Earthquake damage by 200–250% for 3 seconds.
In Might of the Earth, the 2-piece bonus cuts the cooldowns of Earthquake, Avalanche, Leap and Ground Stomp by 1 second per 30 Fury spent, so at its regular cost every Slam equals exactly one step. The 6-piece bonus raises its damage by 37,500%.
Call of the Ancients and Boon of Bul-Kathos
Call of the Ancients summons Madawc among others, who uses Seismic Slam himself. Boon of Bul-Kathos shortens the cooldowns of Call of the Ancients and Wrath of the Berserker, and Leap belongs to the set's toolkit. Ruthless and Rampage round it out.
