Earthquake

Earthquake costs Fury, runs on a cooldown, and deals heavy Fire damage over several seconds across a wide radius around you. As a stationary area skill it shines when you bunch enemies in one spot and keep them in the lingering wave.

If you want to drop the cooldown and Fury cost, The Mountain's Call turns the quake into a far more available Lightning version. If you instead chase maximum damage, Molten Fury noticeably raises the output while keeping the Fire theme. That lets you choose between an almost always-available skill and a pure damage chunk, depending on your build's direction.

Molten Fury, Cave-In and the other runes

Earthquake unlocks at level 19: 25 Fury, a 60 second cooldown, and 4800% weapon damage over 8 seconds within 18 yards. Giant's Stride (level 24) sends 20 secondary tremors after your movement for 300% weapon damage each. Chilling Earth (level 29) freezes enemies hit. The Mountain's Call (level 39) removes the cost and halves the cooldown to 30 seconds. Molten Fury (level 50) raises the damage to 6000%. Cave-In (level 56) pulls in every enemy within 24 yards, a wider area than the quake itself covers. Molten Fury leads in practice, followed by Cave-In.

Items and Might of the Earth

The two-hander Blade of the Tribes makes War Cry and Threatening Shout cause an Earthquake and an Avalanche and raises both of their damage by 600–800%, so the quake no longer depends on its own button. Girdle of Giants boosts Earthquake damage by 200–250% for 3 seconds after you use Seismic Slam.

In Might of the Earth, the 2-piece bonus shaves 1 second off the cooldown per 30 Fury spent. The 4-piece bonus makes Leap cause an Earthquake on landing, and the 6-piece bonus raises the damage by 37,500%.

Shouts as triggers and Earthen Might

War Cry and Threatening Shout turn into triggers through Blade of the Tribes. Earthen Might grants 30 Fury whenever an Earthquake or Avalanche is triggered. Boon of Bul-Kathos shortens Earthquake's cooldown. Wrath of the Berserker and Rampage round it out.
